The Saur Group and the Purecontrol company sign a partnership to optimize the energy consumption of water treatment plants

Saur announces the launch of a partnership with the French company Purecontrol, whose objective is to optimize the energy consumption of water treatment plants through artificial intelligence. After several successful pilot projects, Saur is launching a widespread deployment of the solution on installations operated by the Group, thus contributing to its Zero Net Emission strategy, which aims in particular to reduce its carbon intensity by 83% by 2023.

Purecontrol is an innovative management solution based on artificial intelligence, which makes it possible to significantly reduce operational costs, the carbon footprint, and optimize operations for industries and actors in water management.
After several successful pilot projects, the solution will be gradually installed on French farms managed by Saur to analyze and control the operation of the most energy-consuming equipment.
In the long term, this solution will benefit all the international water treatment plants operated by the Group.

Saur is committed to Purecontrol to simplify field operations: compliance with environmental standards, reduction of the risks of failures, optimization of energy costs. The management of the farm will adapt instantly according to weather forecasts, upstream water quality, energy prices, or the operating condition of the equipment.
Controlled risks, an optimized carbon impact and real-time operating assistance for field operators.

With this partnership, the group confirms its Zero Net Emission strategy, which aims in particular to reduce its carbon intensity by 83% by 2023.
Saur continues to take concrete and sustainable actions in favor of the energy and water transition in all territories, thus underlining its proximity.
and its commitment to its local and industrial partners.

Christophe Tanguy, Director of Operations at Saur, declared “This new partnership is the result of our desire to ensure the energy transition of our farms to make them more efficient throughout France.
We also strive to be exemplary in our energy management. As for all industries, our challenge is twofold: to control costs and to decarbonize. And this partnership with Purecontrol will clearly help us do that.
It also shows our desire to bring together all local actors around water issues in order to achieve our ambition to become the champion of the water transition by 2030.”
Geoffroy Maillard, CEO and co-founder of Purecontrol “The signing of this partnership with Saur is a major step forward for the development of Purecontrol. It is also a solid recognition of the relevance and expertise of Purecontrol for manufacturers and communities. One thing is certain, the year 2022 will mark a turning point for Purecontrol's growth, in France but also internationally.”
